WYLD Restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch
The restaurant was designed by EDG Design to provide an escape through forests of Aspen that begins on approach to The Ritz-Carlton, located between Beaver Creek and Arrowhead. The resort itself nestles up against wilderness.
High Life magazine noted that “not only does the menu resonate with a mountain lifestyle, but the remodel does, as well.” A black and white wall covering theme… “instill[s] a reverence of nature’s timeless beauty” and mirrors the area’s beautiful Aspen trees.
These trees are noted by USDA to be on the decline, an issue recognized as SAD or "sudden aspen decline." White birch bark was substituted for the wall covering as a viable alternative.
